The Flatpack Co. is a story of two good mates from the cold streets of North Dunedin in New Zealand looking for the perfect student bed — being able to be deliver it next-day in a convenient, flat-packed bed and mattress box.
They are New Zealand’s most affordable bed-frame-in-a-box and offer a great night of sleep with their mattress-in-a-box products.
The Flatpack Co. came to us looking to take their Google Ads performance to the next level. Their ads had been stagnating and struggling to grow, without a clear long term strategy for sustained growth. They needed to grow their sales and revenue year over year without sacrificing ROAS, using a strategy designed to profitably grow their ads over time.
What We Did
We implemented a tiered Performance Max campaign structure, based on product performance, dividing the campaigns into:
High ROAS Products.
Low ROAS Products.
Zombies (zero spend products).
This new structure helped bring in incremental revenue from Zombie products and increased profitability for Flatpack’s more costly products. We also shored up incremental revenue by launching Search Non-Brand campaigns (Search, Product, Competitors, DSA).

Refreshed products inside tiers every 60 days.
