About Big Flare

Big Flare is a specialist pay-per-click advertising agency focused on ecommerce campaigns on Google Ads and Facebook Ads.

We help small and medium sized ecommerce stores succeed in a crowded and competitive marketplace, by leveraging over 40 years of experience with Google Advertising and PPC marketing.

We build and optimise PPC campaigns as a fully-managed service for our clients, using our unique campaign optimisation system — what we call the Big Flare Way. Our team members all care about clients’ businesses as-if it were their own, and take ownership and initiative to drive campaigns through to completion. This is reflected in our small client to account manager ratio and never-ending focus on gross profit for our clients.

Account Optimiser (Remote)

Role and Mission

Account Optimisers report to a Team Director.

Account Optimisers are technical optimisers who assist Account Managers with the optimisation and management of clients’ PPC campaigns.

They may also have some client communications roles and interface with clients and this is determined on a client-by-client basis.

The idea is for Account Optimisers to eventually become full-fledged Account Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Support Account Managers in optimisation of Google Ads campaigns.

  • Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly repeating tasks (Asana tasks and SOPs will be provided where necessary).

  • Perform Google Ads optimisations including:

    • SQR management

    • Ads optimisation

    • Keyword research

    • New account launches

    • Campaign and ad group creation

    • Adalysis alerts and optimisations

    • Performance monitoring

    • Quality Score optimisation

    • Competitor research

  • Assist with the building and optimising of Google, Facebook and Bing Ads campaigns.

  • Attend weekly meetings as required:

    • Client Services meeting.

    • Meetings with Account Managers / Team Director as required.

    • Occasional client meetings.

Account Manager (Remote)

Role and Mission

Account Managers report to a Team Director.

We use the term Account Manager to refer to team members who are managing clients’ PPC accounts. Whilst they may be supported by other team members (e.g., account optimisers), they are still 100% responsible in making decisions regarding clients’ PPC accounts.

We do not separate client management and technical optimisation. The Big Flare Way is for the same person to be doing both, so that when a client asks a technical or specific person, the Account Manager updating them on their account is able to answer, in detail.

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly web meetings with clients to update them on progress and discuss the account.

  • Optimise client Google, Facebook and Bing Ads accounts to achieve the best results possible.

  • Take full responsibility for managing your PPC accounts including:

    • Understanding, achieving and over-delivering on (where possible) the client goals.

    • Keeping performance and budget on track.

    • Monitoring the account daily for anomalies and fixing any issues pro-actively.

  • Hit client performance and budget targets.

  • Supply weekly and monthly reports to the client with a short summary of priorities and actions.

  • Run amazingly high quality Google/Bing/Facebook Ads accounts, ensure your ad accounts meet or exceed our standards.

  • Respond quickly and efficiently to client queries and be a positive representative of the Big Flare brand.

  • Take accountability for all issues that affect your results & endeavour to resolve them as quickly as possible.

  • Find and test new optimisation ideas to further improve the quality and performance of your advertising campaigns.

  • Maintain excellent communication with your manager & keep them updated on all important details of your client campaign management

  • Keep your project/task list in our project management system up to date and accurately reflecting what's been done & what's going to be done.

  • Assist with the advancement of company objectives (OKRs) wherever possible.
